After closing down completely in March 2020, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has reopened again as of August 25, 2022, at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Disneyland added a little extra sparkle by having the Boutique’s Fairy Godmothers sprinkle pixie dust on guests outside of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

This extra Pixie Dusting has stayed as a fun free perk for Disneyland guests even with the return of the Disneyland princess makeover.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland

Did you know that boys and girls ages 3-12 can have a full Disney Prince, Knight, or Princess make-over at Disneyland? Located in Fantasyland, there are multiple options to choose from to fit various budgets.

Here you will find a full account of our Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience for two 3 year olds who became a knight and a princess on their first Disneyland vacation.

This post will go over the packages and package options, review the full experience, and go over additional reservation and timing information.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland Packages

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Dresses
So many dresses…

In Fantasyland you can have your little one transformed into a princess or a prince or a knight. This transformation is complete with the outfit, the pampering, and the extra Disney flair.

The Disney Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique age limit is ages 3-12.

This particular trip was for my daughter and her cousin’s first trip to Disneyland and includes the perspective of a 3 year old girl and 3 year old boy.

For our daughter we opted for the basic Crown Package as she was already wearing a Cinderella dress we brought from home for the trip.

There are, however, different levels of packages that include a gown, deluxe gown, or a signature gown.

The Crown Package included the hair-styling, manicure, face gem, makeup, princess sash, and Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique bag to take all the extras home.

Her cousin got the Deluxe Knight Package which included the hairstyling with gel, the knight or prince outfit, sword, and shield. He chose the knight outfit over the prince simply because the cape was red- his favorite color.

For comparison, there is a cheaper package for the boys which does not include the outfit. The Deluxe Knight Package is similar in cost to the basic Crown Package for the girls. The girl packages start with the Crown option and go up from there, offering 8 different choices.

Here is a breakdown of the different Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland Packages and what situation is best for each one.

Some of the packages include a keepsake portrait session with Cinderella’s Carriage. If it’s in your budget, do it! My sister recently did this package and the pictures are priceless.

All of the packages can have a PhotoPass upgrade to have a Disneyland Photographer document the experience.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland photos are absolutely amazing. Next time we go we’re upgrading to the carriage photos.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Cost & Package Comparison Chart

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Hairstyles

There are different hairstyles you can choose from. Depending on what package you get, your Fairy Godmother will show you what choices you have.

It’s really fun to pick out all of your options after picking your package.

Your child can get a braid, a princess bun, or a flower halo. If your child’s hair isn’t long enough they do have hair extensions they can add in with the accessories.

I preferred the princess bun with the tiara and Mickey Mouse gem hair clip. It didn’t seem worth it to pay all that money for a bow and not a tiara, but everyone has their different preferences.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Crown Package

There are 3 packages for less than $150, and they do not include dresses.

As the cheapest of these 3 options, the Crown Package is what we went with for our little girl. Since she already had a beautiful Cinderella dress, I didn’t see the need to upgrade.

You get to choose a hairstyle and they do nails and makeup with a face gem. They get a princess sash to top off the look.

The extra shampoo, nail polish, makeup, and face gems are put into a souvenir princess cinch bag.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Carriage Package

The only difference between this Carriage Package and the Crown Package is a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique t-shirt.

Since we wanted our girl to wear her dress, we decided the t-shirt wasn’t worth the extra $25 for us.

If you love collecting t-shirts from where you go, this is an excellent option.

If your princess doesn’t have a dress to wear or will not last in one all day, then this package or the Courtyard Package may be the best match.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Courtyard Package

The Courtyard Package has everything in the Crown Package, plus the t-shirt from the Carriage Package, and a tutu.

This is the perfect compromise if your little one wants a dress but you don’t want to spend the extra money for one, or if they won’t like being in a floofy dress all day.

They can get a super cute, Disney themes outfit, and receive all the pampering of a Disney makeover.

Tiana Rapunzel Merida Moana Dresses

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Castle Package

Now we are just shy of $200 and the dresses start to be included.

With the Castle Package, your princess’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland experience will include a princess dress and the accessories (just not the shoes…which regular shoes are better for a day walking around Disneyland anyway).

The best part?

You also get a photo op with Cinderella’s carriage.

The carriage is roped off so you can only take pictures by it with one of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique packages that include a princess dress.

The PhotoPass is included with the cost and comes with the digital photo as well as some prints to take home in a Disney photo-folder.

Aurora and Belle Deluxe Dresses

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Deluxe Castle Package

Not sold on the basic princess dresses to choose from?

Increase your budget by about $30 and you get to upgrade the full Castle Package (and everything included with it) to a package that includes a Deluxe Princess dress.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Deluxe Disney Princess dresses are a little fancier and a little higher quality. Their regular dresses are beautiful, but these definitely add some extra flair.

Cinderella Signature Dress

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Princess Signature Dress Collection

This is the most expensive Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland package, and it comes with a dress from the Disney Signature Dress collection.

Made with extra details and from higher end fabric, if you are looking to go all out with your princess’s Fairy Godmother makeover, this is the choice for you.

It comes with everything included in the Deluxe Castle Package except with the Duluxe dress upgraded to a Signature dress.

You also get a crystal tiara that comes with a keepsake box and a garment bag to help transport and store the high-end princess gown.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique “Frozen” Package

Looking specifically for an Anna or Elsa theme?

The Princess Boutique Disney has actually offers 2 packages that include an Anna or Elsa hairstyle.

Receive the same makeover experience with makeup, a face gem, nail polish, and the princess sash and cinch bag, but add on a snowflake accessory for you princess’s hair and a 12 inch Olaf plush.

This Disney Frozen package also includes either Anna or Elsa’s dress.

Frozen Package

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique “Frozen” Crown Package

Want the Arendelle makeover without the dress? Then this is your package.

The Disney Frozen Crown Package still comes with the Anna or Elsa makeover, sash, bag, and Olaf stuffie.

This Bibbidi Bobbiti choice just does not include the Anna or Elsa costume.

Encanto Package

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Encanto Package

Is your kid as obsessed with Encanto as my girls are?

I absolutely love how their favorites are Isabella and Mirabel. It makes for such cute sister pictures, especially when meeting Mirabel at Disneyland or California Adventure.

This package includes hairstyling, makeup, face gem, nail polish, a princess sash, and a cinch bag.

The difference is you also get an Encanto Dress (either Mirabel or Isabella) and coordinating accessories. The accessories for this package do not include shoes, but you’re better off with good walking shoes for Disneyland than princess shoes.

Dubbed Knight
Dubbed a Knight

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Knight Package

The cheapest option by far, this package includes a knight/prince hair styling and a toy sword with shield.

If you’re looking for some fun Disney attention for your little prince or knight and want a reasonably priced souvenir, definitely go for this package. If you’re looking for a costume they can wear during their Disneyland vacation, then look into the Deluxe Knight Package.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Deluxe Knight Package

This is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique package my sister got for my nephew on his first Disneyland trip. It includes the sword and shield from the Knight Package listed above, but also includes a knight or prince costume and hair styling with gel.

The really cool thing about this hair style is that they add on glitter that they call “dragon scales” for a very awesome look.

I love how even the little princes can get pampered, although the princess packages definitely have more options.

You can check out the full details of packages and the pricing on the Disneyland website.

Aurora Regular Deluxe Signature

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Princess Options

There are 3 tiers of Disney Princess Costumes at Bibbidi Boutique.

  • Regular Costume
  • Deluxe Dress
  • Signature Dress

You can buy the dresses separately or get a dress in certain Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique packages.

Regular Princess Dress

  • Cinderella
  • Snow White
  • Aurora
  • Ariel
  • Belle
  • Jasmine
  • Mulan
  • Elena of Avalor
  • Mirabel
  • Isabella
  • Elsa
  • Anna
  • Tinkerbelle
  • Raya
  • Tiana
  • Rapunzel
  • Merida
  • Moana

The regular Princess dress costumes are the cheapest, they also have the most variety.

As of 2023, these dresses are $60 each plus tax at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique store.

An equivalent value is worked into the Disney princess makeover Disneyland package that includes the regular costume.

If you have a princess dress from home, you may not feel it’s worth buying a new one. They are very cute and perfect for a day at Disneyland, but are equivalent value to what you can buy online.

If you don’t have a dress, or a specific princess’ dress, then it’s definitely worth the cost!

Deluxe Princess Dress

  • Cinderella
  • Snow White
  • Aurora
  • Ariel
  • Belle

The Deluxe Princess dresses have less options and are $99* plus tax in the Boutique store.

If you upgrade your Disney makeover package to include the Deluxe princess dress, you have a slight savings in the Deluxe dress value.

It’s a $30* difference in the makeover packages, but almost a $40* difference between the Regular and Deluxe dresses alone.

*Based on 2023 prices

Signature Princess Dress

  • Cinderella
  • Aurora
  • Belle
  • Elsa

The Signature Dresses have the most limited options and the highest price.

In 2023, you can pay $350 plus tax for the Signature Dress, or $450 plus tax for the Bibbidi Bobbidi makeover that includes the Signature Dress.

In my opinion, these higher end designs are not my style and seem over the top with extra ruffles and bows.

The Regular dresses are prettier than most of the Signature Disney princess gowns (again, this is my opinion and I’m not very fashion driven).

But if couture is your cup of tea and you find them charming, then the highest level princess package is definitely for you.

Knight Package

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Prince/Knight Options

There are only 2 Disney Prince options: Knight, and Prince Naveen.

The Knight costume is the same whether your little one decides to be a knight or a prince. The decision will just change the words your Fairy Godmother uses at the end of the experience.

In the shop, Disneyland does have a Prince Naveen costume which is absolutely adorable.

I think they should have all of the prince costumes (Prince Charming, Prince Phillip, Aladdin as Prince Ali,etc.).

Unfortunately, it’s supply and demand. I don’t think enough little kids would choose to dress like a prince for that investment to be worth Disney’s time.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Experience

I think my sister would agree: Worth. Every. Penny.

We started out getting checked in for our appointment and picking the package options. All of the dresses were lined up on display and Fauna’s cake gave the kids great entertainment. Before we knew it they were being whisked away to the Boutique for their transformations.

My nephew was ushered into the dressing room with my sister for him to get his new costume on (which, yes, it was of course worn again for Halloween). Since my girl already had her dress, I snuck a peek into the dressing room before he started changing. Very cute design- Disneyfied in every way.

They knew our 3 year olds were related (and besties!) so they sat us side by side and faced the kids’ chairs so they could see each other. There are benches facing the salon chairs for the family, but I was so excited taking pictures of the two that I don’t think I stayed sitting for long.

Since we had a very large group, we chose to have the parents and the grandmothers and my aunt come in and watch while the grandpa’s waited outside by the castle with the babies and the other aunts and uncles. This wasn’t a requirement by Disney, but just us being conscious about not crowding out the other families whose kids were also getting Disneyfied.

Every step of the way from the hair styled with gel to the confetti finish for our knight and the hair to the make up to the nails to the face gem to the glitter finish for our princess was amazing for the kids to experience and the adults to watch.

There was a “Fast Nail Drying” spell and a glitter/hairspray shield for their faces they got to hold while glitter topped off the looks.

The real Disney magic came when they did the magic mirror reveal. Each kid was asked to help with the enchantment spell, the curtains pulled open, and sparkles followed by flowers appeared on the mirror.

My nephew was even dubbed a Knight officially with his new sword.

Is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Worth It

Magic Mirror at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Magic Mirror Reveal

I’ll let the following photos show how excited they were for the attention and to be in costumes…

These two 3 year olds loved every minute of Disney magic and special attention.

They kept their costumes on all day long by choice because they loved them so much.

The princess bun actually held up very well and both makeovers made for amazing photo ops throughout the park that day.

Plus all of the characters and cast members bowed to our little knight and princess, and treated them like royalty as they made their way through Disneyland. Its those little details that just make your day that much more awesome.

We may need to increase our package next time we go to Disneyland when our baby girl and our baby nieces are old enough for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique so we can have the photo-op by Cinderella’s carriage.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Reservations

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Watching the little ones get their Disneyland makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

We chose the first available appointment of the day specifically to go visit the princesses in the Royal Hall where they typically have 3 princesses available for meet and greets.

Make sure to book your Bibbbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disneyland makeover before 4pm if you want the carriage photo op (must have a package that includes this).

The last reservation is at 6pm, and they also might have a temporary gap in appointments during fireworks.

The pricing can change at any time. We try our best to keep this post up to date, but the most accurate pricing info will be on the Disneyland website when you book the experience.

As for booking, you can make a Bibbibi Bobbidi Boutique reservation in Disneyland up to 60 days in advance.

There is a $10 fee for any no-shows or day of cancellations, so make sure you adjust things over 24-hours in advance if your schedule changes.

And as you’re planning out your perfect Disney Day, make sure to assume about 30 minute to 1 hour for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland makeover.

Does Walt Disney World Resort Have Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

Yes, Walt Disney World has its own Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. They have the same Bobbidy Boutique offers but might have slight differences in what’s available at the time of your visit. The best thing is to check the Disney World Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique details online before your trip.

The Disney World Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is located right behind Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique F.A.Q.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Makeover

Is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique going to reopen?

Yes, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reopened at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World in August 2022.

Is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique worth it?

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is absolutely worth every penny. It isn’t just a makeover, but a full on experience of being treated like a prince or a princess by your very own Fairy Godmother.

Every detail is Disney themed, including the spells/poems chanted by your little one and their Fairy Godmother for the big Magic Mirror reveal.

There are multiple packages that can fit into different budgets so everyone can enjoy some extra magic on their Disneyland vacation.

How much does it cost to do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

Princess packages at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique start out at $74.95, with the most expensive package at $450 to include a dress from their Signature collection. Expect to pay at least $200 for any package that includes a dress.

For the princes and knights, there is a non-costume option at $19.95 and a costume option at $79.95.

Prices are kept as current as possible, but prices are subject to change at any time. Please check the Disneyland website for exact pricing when booking your Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience.

What is the age limit for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

Bibbidi Bobbidy Boutique is for kids ages 3-12.

Can my 2 year old do Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

The age requirement for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is for 3 year olds up to 12 year olds. That being said, if your child’s birthday is literally that same weekend and they can sit still and behave properly for the makeover, you may still be able to book the boutique experience. If you do book the experience for a 2-year-363-day year old, chances are they won’t think twice about assuming your little one is 3. However, the rules are clearly stated, and I’m sure they will reserve the right to refuse service to anyone they believe is too young.

Can my 13 year old do Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

The listed age requirement for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is 3-12 years old. The dress code rule is that kids ages 14 and up may not dress up in costumes.

If your child recently turned 13 and you want to squeeze in one last “12-year-old” event before they turn older, you risk them not following through with honoring your reservation.

Can adults go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

Adults are not able to receive makeovers from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and there are no adult sizes in the shop as it is made for kids ages 3-12.

There is an exception for guests over the age of 14 dressing up at Disneyland, and that is for the Oogie Boogie Bash at Halloween time. There are rules and guidelines for what is allowed.
