Family Travel Folio

1. What is the Blog About?

According to Merriam-Webster.com, a “folio” is “a leaf especially of a manuscript or book.”

Family Travel Folio is a Family Travel Blog highlighting folio worthy Family Adventures.

Think of the posts as pages from a large travel book containing Travel Adventures with the husband & kids, extended family, and close friends.

2. What can you find on Family Travel Folio?

Blogs about planning for, traveling to, and enjoying family adventures at various destinations.

These destinations will include a lot of Southern California (SoCal) locations from budget friendly family outings to higher priced attractions and events. Other Cities, States, and Countries will be covered as opportunities arrive.

Travel companions include my husband, our daughters, and more often than not a rotating combination of extended family and close friends.

Blog posts will focus on fun destinations and travel tips regarding Traveling with Kids, Extended Family/Multiple Generations, and Friends who may or may not also have kids (mainly not at this point, but that can change over time 😜).

3. Who is the Blog Creator/Author?

That would be me, Katie! I love finding opportunities to travel and share adventures with my husband and our little ones.

Here are some extra tidbits that better explain my core interests and what types of topics might be connected to my family’s traveling adventures:

• Hobbies: Reading, writing, arts & crafts, and learning languages.
• Activities: Soccer, SCUBA diving, biking, swimming, kayaking, hiking, camping, and shopping.
• Interests: Disney, animals, sports, science fiction/fantasy, and organizing/planning

4. Why Blog?

Great question! I wanted an outlet to apply my creative hobbies/interests while scrap booking my family’s adventures– a folio of my family’s travels if you will.

Making the blog public seemed like a logical way to share our family fun with others. I’ll be honest and say a little extra side income/traveling perks would be nice once an Affiliation or two could be set up; however, I would be creating the same blog material for fun whether or not compensation was an option.

5. What Can I Expect from Family Travel Folio (i.e. What’s in it for me)?

One of my interests applies to traveling and directly impacts blog followers: organizing/planning.

• Be ready for FREE check lists and planning tips and printables along with reviews of various destinations.
• Looking for a great getaway with the spouse and kids?
• Want to plan a vacation with extended family (in-laws, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins)?
• Looking for the perfect place for a trip with those life-long friends?
